TOOLS WITH MECHANICAL FIXING OF INSERT FOR WOODWORKING AND/OR SIMILAR PRODUCTS MADE BY ZUANI R. &C.

To meet the new needs of operating machines and most of all the strict requirements when working with wood and similar products, Zuani R. & C. have developed a new range of tools with mechanical fixing of the cutter insert ensuring a safe use by the operator and easy servicing. The main bodies are made from superior steel and whenever the composition and shape of the tool allow for it, a rounder shape is given to the tool thus providing a lower noise level. The extreme precision of the cutter seats ensures repeated positioning without needing pre-setting devices. A very handy fixing system has been developed for the main cutters, which allows the insert to be easily replaced in both axial and radial directions. The high resistance steel screws with "Torx" fixing seat guarantee a safe and particularly frequent use without the well-known disadvantages created by hollow hexagon head screws in case of small diameters. The inserts have two or more cutters and are the new approach to woodworking. When these inserts - now frequently used - were developed, we paid the greatest attention to the geometry of cutters in order to improve the finishing grade of the wood being worked. This applies especially when working against wood veins. The improved finish depends especially on the increase of the discharge angle and on the inclination of the insert, together with the comparison tolerance of various inserts applied to the same body. The shaving has a shape that makes it easy to discharge and then be captured by the exhaust system. Whenever necessary, side cutting is performed using special engravers that guarantee finished surface in case of deep joints and eliminate at the same time the dangerous axial strain that would be created during work. To ensure the correct application of the varnish protection, edges are chamfered and rounded using special four-side inserts. The tools supplied in packs are fitted on the straightened hubs equipped with lock nuts to prevent them from unscrewing during the heavy strain caused by the self-braking motors. All the tools are balanced dynamically with electronic balancing equipment that prevent vibrations during processing. Further attention has been paid to the choice of the surface treatment that is electrolytic and hence protects all tool surfaces from oxidation. A final control is performed by our staff directly on the operating machines by controlling all the parts of the tools. This last stage, in compliance with the criteria followed during designing, provides products that offers all the safety guarantees required by standards currently in force in Italy and abroad. In addition, the standards concerning the grade of balancing are also respected in view of their application in Europe.
